This special limited edition illy Art Collection was designed by renowned Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodovar, coinciding with the release of his latest film, Broken Embraces (Broken Embraces). The only signed and numbered with a cup of espresso color, Warhol-esque frame Penelope Cruz, the lead actress of the film and an iconic presence in the work of Almodóvar. The cup Broken Embraces only complements the six cup Almodovar illy Art Collection to be published this autumn, to immortalize his career through the symbolic representation of the scenes from six of his most famous films. Internationally acclaimed actor, screenwriter and director Pedro Almodovar was born in 1949 in Calzada de Calatrava in the region of La Mancha in Spain and is best known for films portraying the tumultuous transformation of Spain after Franco.
