Reviews

Overall I am happy with the grinder until the on / off switch broke after less than 2 years. Grinder is good looking, fairly quiet, and became a good job grinding. I contacted Breville Customer Service and their credit they actually return my calls. However they know me the warranty only good for one year. So I am a specified to a repair center. It is not worth sending it to a repair center and pay for freight to and fro and the repair costs. Nor is the repair center close enough to my house to make driving an option. RI paid $ 69.00 for the last unit of gumigiling burr grinder that I bought and lasted for 7 years. I paid $ 100.00 for one and didn 't even get 2 years from it. RI only used this machine average once a week. It is keeping stored in a cabinet and not subjected to any abuse. Am I going to spend another hundred dollars again in any product Breville? Certainly not.

I have recently bought Breville grinder BCG450XL. A wonderful machine! The cut is also ve (I 'uses the medium and fine now) and the caption for the grind fineness is correct. It 's equal to zero, there ' powder. "It 's quiet, sturdy and good looking. Fairly easy to clean. Hardly a reason to come out of the socket, so that a clean counter. Reviewers commmented some other negative effect on the timer but I don 't see it as a problem. I mean to grind weeks 's coffee at a time and must do to the mill twice. BFD. When you grind coffee every day, no problem. Frankly, I don 't have a negative word to say and a lot of positives.

My views on this grinder are practically in line with m many of the reviews here, so I 'm not going to waste time typing the good things that has been said about this machine. WKH have a Bunn Thermo Fresh, not dumps water into the basket of coffee, seen as fast as any I've ever drip brewer. I would like to get get a pot of coffee in less than 2 minutes, but was not without problems, until I bought this machine. I had been using a blade grinder for years, and they work well if you have a coffee maker really slow. The problem arises when you have a coffee machine, as Bunn Thermo Fresh, and try to use a blade grinder. With a blade grinder, by the time the beans are completely ground, a hill of beans were ground to a fine dust. This fine dust will clog the filter, and fresh water dumped Bunn Thermo to the basket so quickly, it will often overflow the basket, making a mess, and you ll 'also has the fine dust to make it for coffee machine. coffee r rThis is no longer a problem when grinding grain with this grinder. The grind is uniform, no coffee grounds to a fine powder, as with the blade grinder. I have my set in a thin Breville few clicks of the "Fine setting ', and it works very well. All the fundamentals are contained in the filters with no overflow .... And I have the grinder set to 25 seconds, grinding enough coffee for a very strong pot of coffee. r rI would definitely recommend this product, especially for those who are still using a blade grinder. You won 't regret this purchase. r rthe only complaint I have and I was not the only reason 't give a rating of 5 stars is that when I remove the container of ground coffee, the more ground coffee falls from the grinding mechanism, and I have to do some cleaning after each use. I suppose that if I hit the camera a bit before removing the packaging, some coffee would fall into the container ..... I 'm sure I just do not want to be doing this for years and years, and cause wear extra wear and tear of the machine. It 'sa little problem that I can live. The big pot of coffee you get with this grinder, overcome a small problem like this.

Compared to my $ 500 professional mole, this is a Bréville similar work in a fraction of the price. Now I have 2 of these (1 at home, office, 1), and both worked well, are easy to maintain, and produce a reliable espresso grind. Let's take about 25 shots a day, more routine 2 or 3 portions of 10 of a cup of drip coffee, and the winch with a capacity for such use.

I Don 't know which is worse, customer service or product quality. You may decide after reading my experience: GH bought this about 6 months. It works very well for the first month and 1 or suddenly stops working. The power switch doesn 'matter how you push, not just respond. OK, I get to call customer service. After a week of exchanging electronic mail + phone call, the service center told me to send a new one. Then I got the new one (doesn 't really new look, but ...). Now, the 2nd, which does not respond to power button, but the dust it generates is so thick! It 's definitely not for Expresso, until I turn to the finest selection, the powder is still very thick. Ah, so I called again. This time, it 's much more simple, the service representative told me to send a part that should solve my problem. Then I got the part. This part is horrible, It 's not in a package (no plastic bags or something), and ' s very dirty. I doubt anyone dares to use that one in your coffee! R GH Don 't know what to do with this machine. I bought a $ 20 one for my use temperary, and surprisingly enough, it works much more reliable than this! R rmy suggestion he never wants to buy a grinder of the chests: either pay more dollars to get a solid, or simply choose a version Chaper simple. Don 't buy it.

This made it through almost half a pound of beans before she died. Apparently, Breville find more profitable to advertise Implement quality than that. No more Breville products in this house!

I have this product for Christmas last year and only used it for the last 6 months or so. The timer didn 't work the first few times I've broken it, and recently the on / off switch and I do not have a place where I can buy a replacement part. I emailed Breville and got no response from them. Very disappointed in this product group. A definite waste of $ 100.

I 've If the product for a year and works very well. However, static electricity creates a big mess, as the routine around the kitchen fire. I Don 't know if other brands could somehow handle this better. In the Middle Atlantic region, surely this problem, at least in winter, and 's not fun.

I 'I had this mill for over two years, and that ' s almost dead. R rFirst the ground coffee hopper is constructed of relatively inexpensive plastic, my broken for a year, but I can make it work, the lid just doesn 't stand together. R rLast night, the coup de foie, the power switch literally fell on the side of the machine. The set of the switch is supposed to fit into place beside the machine, what can I say after taking part, but in my case, a very small proportion of plastic in the assembly appears to be broken, not abuse, the mind, so the change doesn 't stay in place. R RI can make it work for now, but is out of warranty, and seems to be out of luck. When one spends more than $ 100 for a quality coffee grinder, hopes once again. I will think twice before buying any product in the future Bréville.

I received it as a gift a little over a year ago, the switch broke, literally fell into this machine. RI called the repair shop listed Bréville from the website and he says he does not service them for the part because the price has skyrocketed. Rit is not going to landfill. RVery disappointing because I like the machine while it worked.

It worked very well. I used to make espresso ground coffee and French press. Then the power switch fell and now 's useless. Not worth the money. [...]

I 've had this grinder for several months now. It 's the best I ' ve owned hands down and here 's what I like: r r-it ' s very quiet compared to other home grinders thorns i 've seen r -it 's not messy at all r-seems to be built very well. All the key pieces together in a solid way, he just felt very solid r-it grinds on the home as well as grinders can grind and make a large French press or drip coffee (if you use fresh beans either!) R rBecause I haven 't have it so long I can ' t comment on what 's deep-clean it was. R rDon 't fool yourself into thinking it can be used for high-quality espresso. For that you 'll need a real espresso grinder is probably 3.6 times more expensive (eg Mazzer, Rancilio, etc.).

I ordered this grinder based largely on previous reviews I read here. I was delighted the first 10 days - it worked beautifully, perfectly ground, and did not leave static-charged coffee grounds all over my counter. Unfortunately, after 10 days, it completely stopped working, when I pressed the Start button, I got nothing, no grinding, no Sputtering, not even a vague whine. R r and returned it to Amazon, they sent me a new one, and so far, so good, but it Hasna 't been 10 days yet, so my fingers are still crossed. This one, strangely, although identical to the first one, does actually spit coffee grounds all over my counter, so I 'ma little disappointed in that, but so long as it continues to grind the beans, I ' ll live with it . r rOverall, it 'sa fine grinders, so long as it continues to work. Don 't know if I ' d recommend it over anything else, though - It 's adequate, but nothing to rave about.

We were victims of the recent recall Starbucks coffee grinder - we sent our 5Y GRINDER to them for replacement (about $ 30 mill) and were sent a piece of scrap GRINDER $ 15 which was not satisfactory and we have decided to replace it. We bought and returned five different sub-$ 50 mill. They were either too strong Wouldn 't grind well, reviews were terrible, too embarrassing, too messy. That, after much frustration, we finally decided to spend about $ 100 and bought this Breville. It's great - there 't too hard and it is the least messy of all those we tried.

After reading reviews of this grinder on Amazon and another website, I was convinced that this grinder would do what I need to do it cheap, but I was also convinced that I may need to an amendment to grind finer. Many commentators argue that they have changed, or it didn 't grind fine enough. So I got home, his opening and went through all the stages of early development, cleaning, etc.. I was surprised that the best part the grind is too fine for me to use my espresso machine. I had some beans on the ground at a local roaster to grind espresso and compared. I know espresso is supposed to most machines, feel like sugar - a little grainy. If c is too dusty it wont work right. R rWhat I 've found is that 3 clicks from calving, which is still technically in the "Turkish " radius of action within the parameters of shredder is perfect for my current machine and looked identical to the grind I compared to espresso. It makes me feel good that when I get a new machine, I hope that the 2 additional steps I must go give me enough flexibility to get the right grind. R 'ri ve had it for about a week now and so far haven ' t have a static problem. It 's realitively easy to clean with a soft brush to brush the grinding chamber and container. I 'm still working on the timer, and think I have the right to take a double blow. R RAS for drip coffee, we use it for that too and of course it works very well. R rwille it as long as some higher-end machines? Oh, maybe not. But for $ 89 when I also had an Amazon gift card to pay part of it, I just don 't you let it pass. I was between this model and the Capresso, and I 'm happy with my choice. R rObviously if you have a machine, expensive espresso finicky, you probably Wouldn 't even be looking at the mill in this range. For my $ 200 - $ 300 espresso machine, I have no complaints.

My husband and I bought this GRINDER with the espresso machine from Saeco, we already have to go. Breville 's products are well made, but do not break the bank. We are really happy with the grinder. If you do find out what you grind it perfect every time. It is also very quiet.

I have owned this grinder for over a year and I still love it. I use it every morning and that is a bit 'noisy (the nature of the beast) and the container of coffee is ground into shape is a strange (and on the small side for more than 4 cups of coffee worth), but I think These minor quibbles. It 'so easy to use and so reliable that I would buy again.

I recently bought this after all the good reviews on this site. I love all of it, with two exceptions: 1, the mill is not fine enough for espresso mole, even in the fine "super Settings Turkish. 2, the hopper grain moves during the operation, it seems a little weak. R r red that this is a mill can be good for a press or a drip machine. The reason I gave it only three stars is because I have a lot more to end espresso.

After much research I chose the Breville Coffee Grinder Burr and after three years of use, it grinds perfectly still. The main feature I like about this coffee grinder is that the beans did not field a static charge which causes it to jump around and make a mess. The clear plastic compartment is very easy to remove and replace back into the machine. The grind is over and works great in my coffee Aeropress. This is a quality machine well made and highly recommended.

MOLA great. The bin for the collection of the reasons is easy to use and has remained fairly orderly. Device rthe looks very nice on the work surface. One disadvantage of this product gives ra nice amount of heat while connected, even when not in use. I guess that means it sucks the juice rfrom the wall like a savage. I unplug after use. The actual element of correction is simple and easy RTO clean. I would buy again.

very pleased with my new coffee bean GRINDER, the Breville is an outstanding bean GRINDER! consistantly turns out great tasting ground coffee! rLow noise, hardly any mess, and easy to operate, just set it and forget it, the bean hopper holds 5 oz, enough for 5 days. r After grinding several batches of coffee, i found that a fine grind settings, and 10 seconds is perfect for brewing 4 cups of coffee in my drip coffee maker Zojirushi, if i want more, or other 's want coffee, then i turn up the timer dial (ie) 10 seconds for 4 cups of coffee brewd, 20 seconds for 8 cups, and 30 seconds for 12 cups. After the timer is set, all you have to do is push the start button, no need to re-set the timer each time you grind coffee. Importand one tip, the manual said to tap the side of the machine after grinding stops, this will disslodge any remaining grounds from inside the shoot, allowing it to drop down, and bellow into the container .. reducing the chance of having coffee grounds spill out on your counter, after you pull out the container from the machine, also important, when your pouring the grinds out of the container, and coffee maker into you, do not open the lid all the way, open just about an inch, and turn it so that the words "MAX " are facing down and into the filter basket, it looks to me, like this is a pour Spout, I found that there is very little, if any, coffee spilled on the counter.

This is the third our Breville IKON our products have been purchased, and like the others (blender and electric kettle) it is very good as a whole. We use both daily to grind for drip coffee makers and sometimes grinding to press France, both with consistent results. R rPros: r rSolid construction. Breville products in general is stocky, and this one is no exception. Although some reviewers have commented on the thinness of clear plastic hopper, more than enough for the task of guiding the beans to the grinder. R rBreville customer service. Previous versions of this grinder has a separate on / off switch on the side of the start button. After about one year of use, the switch broke. Breville USA I was contacted via e-mail, and within two days I had confirmation of shipping a replacement along with a pre-paid FedEx label to return the mine. New model (w / the on / off switch) arrived a week later. R rNoise. It is much quieter than our previous knife grinder, but I do not know how to compare the other thorn grinder. R rCons: r rAbout every two months or more (with daily use) I had to remove the reasons that have clogged the area between rollers and the bottom of the container.

I had my grinder and a half years, and still works great! I love it. It is compact, and looks good. And It 'sa lot quieter than my blade grinder was old. But best of all, he does a great job. I love the consistency of reasoning. It is well worth the money. In fact, I think for about $ 100, buy sa 's great. I am very happy with my choice.

After making a strong bloc of research for a good mill, was very excited about this machine. After a month of daily use, it is true, I really liked. R reven but doesn 't grind fine enough in the best fit. Rand R that's the bottom line. R GH bought this to grind espresso. Nothing more. Regardless of how much I like the design and overall functionality, its just not the ideal machine for espresso enthusiasts in the making. R Tirant said the grain hopper is good, the adjustment mechanism (grain hopper rotate clockwise to lock and adjust coarse to fine) works quite well, the timer is a nice touch, and even the little too feeble grind bin doesn 't bother me. I never had a lot of mess to clean after running the machine, ground coffee found its way into the box, and a milkshake machine light enough to leave the waste would be ground into the duct to avoid dust my counter to said the garbage disposal. Cleaning the machine was not 't too difficult, although there are always some old coffee left in the mechanism that the amount of shaking, brushing, or blow get perfectly clean. R Rbut the end, the resulting coffee was too weak, because the best routine property only ISN 't quite well. R rat least I found a good home for it with a friend who uses a press pot to make coffee - not espresso. YI 'm waiting for delivery later today of the machine that you have purchased in the first place: PL53 Lelit. R Rif want to start pulling good espresso, spend the money in the mill. Just do it and Don 't look back!

When I married, I received a Braun coffee grinder as a gift. That lasted 20 years. When he finally died, I bought this grinder Breville after doing much research. Mill was a great ... while it lasted. It 's been less than two years, but falls off the switch, and the mill stops when it wants, not when you want. Finally just stopped working. R rThey Don 't Make Em as before.
