Reviews

I am a tea expert, and this is the best kettle I 've used by far! R rthe boiler automatically shuts off, so Don 't need to see a boil. Bring to a boil 4 cups of water it takes less than 2 minutes, I can go and do what I need, and 20 minutes later, he 's still hot. In addition, changes in cooking time the water level. Base rthe never becomes hot when the water is boiling, and can pick up the pot and put it elsewhere. R rWhat 's also great is that if you use tap water, you can see when it's necessary to clean the kettle. Only boil vinegar in the pot and leave it, and comes out clean. I used to use tap water, so I clean it with vinegar, now I use filtered water and never need cleaning. R rGreat boiler, totally worth the price.

I recently purchased a world market and has returned. The smell of rubber was too strong and can not do better after cleaning and again. Also on several occasions he has started by itself if I could never leave it plugged with a rope. R RWE Cuisinart works very well but it brakes down after a while. I went through 2 of them so far. We still have one for upstairs. I bought Hamilton Beach (SS 10 cups) from Costco for the stairs. It works perfectly. I do not know if it breaks down so soon, but at least it's not too expensive and does not smell foul.

This is a great product. It looks good, works fast. Be sure to use filtered water or distilled water.

... but this is not necessarily an endorsement - it 's just that I can not find anything I like, because I want to see the water, and abhor the closed tea kettle Top Model. R r1. To the lady who wrote in> You may indeed refer to a multiple-position handle. But although my first three of them had no such problem, my fourth great, certainly did. Went on a couple of weeks. If you want to verify that I am a real person, email me at 6C apartment, 1105 Park Avenue, New York 10128. I will return to write, call back or come over and you can pinch myself to see if I 'm real. Ma 'am, only a few posters saying all tea has this problem, but there is always, in the long history of these positions, the odor problems. With some units. Capresso and seems to be indifferent to the issue. R R2. I was struck by the posters who said they had cleared of Russell Hobbs "after 15 years ". Have you noticed that I said it was my fifth? We have ours, can be used 4x day, 10 weeks per year. Our people have used - just stopped working - after 8-14 months. Not a very good service life, in my view, a relatively simple mechanical device. When she turns erratically on and off - I suppose he will be leaving soon. And inside "chrome " dome is rust, which has not been the case previously. R r3. There are alarming features, such as failure of self-judgment that can not believe I let a factory (the small screws as another poster mentioned). R rso why I wil buy another? Because I see the water boil. And I'll put up with the short lifespan. And, perhaps even smells. R Rbut it does not seem that Capresso is not on the ball. I never tried to approach me, but I note that: a) other items on the list Capresso just say that the stonewalling and b) I note that Capresso has posted results (as far as I know). Many manufacturers do not engage customers in this way, and I think it's the responsible way to go. R rchristophe Gray

Capresso but I ordered a little worried about the reviews that talk about the smell, some people get when the unit was working. Understand, follow the instructions and did not notice the smell of the first couple times I used it. However, like other reviewers noted, the smell will disappear after a few uses. We 've had it two weeks and use it two or three times a day. No smell, quickly warming up and looking great. You can extend or shorten the cord. It 's great! No wonder that Americ 'as the first rank test kitchen.

We ran into this type hot water kettle in Europe and were pleased with how fast it took cold water to the boiling stage. For making tea and instant coffee it is so much better than the old kettle on the stove system.

I used my H20 Capresso Electric Kettle Tea for only within 5 years - and loved this life! Looks great and would bring water to a boil in about 4-5 minutes (at a high altitude area, too). But now, I had an accident in the tea kettle that worried me. I just brought a whole kettle of water to boil and pouring it into a teapot, when the handle just ripped away from the body, sending a cascade of boiling water all over my counter and my leg. I got a bad burn from the event. At closer inspection, I saw the fatal flaw in the construction of the tea kettle: two small screws, screwed in a plastic sheath to hold the handle in place. Over time, repeated use, the plastic sheath becomes warped, stripped of his ring, you are cut, and the case now, finally gives quite. I was shocked at how cheap made kettle is the most critical juncture: where the handle attachment in the body. I filed a complaint with the Consumer Product Safety Commission and informed Capresso well. Yes, the kettle looks great. Yes, it boils water fast. But in time, the handle will fail. No "if " but "when ". Do not want to receiving end of a cascade of boiling hot water.

I ignored the negative comments about this tea, because it looks so good, and some people seemed quite happy with it. I used it for a week, but the funny plastic smell and taste of water has never disappeared. It 'sa shame, because otherwise it worked well. I returned to Amazon and I 'm now looking for a replacement.

For someone that drinks a ton of tea, the Capresso glass water kettle is a dream come true. Several fellow employees saw it and purchased it before I had it for a week. I love it. R RBOB the tea man

It 'sa large pot, glass is very nice, but the element is visible boiling and builds ugly white mineral deposits on the water shortly after several uses. I 't attempt to clean it, I Don ' t have hard or soft water at home, perhaps the use of a filter may reduce this deposit. Overall I am satisfied with the ergonomics and the aesthetic appearance of this product.

This is the kettle to see and I bought it because it is the value of one by the American Test Kitchen, but we came and will come off before the boiling water, plus I can 't get the smell out of the kettle. Exchanged for T-Fal kettle is great, but not great looking

I have a glass of water capresse Kettle property for many years and Don 't know what I do without it. It works perfectly, but I do not have much time, I decided to buy one just in case! THINK IT Can 'OF A DAY WITHOUT A! I bought a second one for a friend of mine, because I know that he also delighted.

I have a strong feeling is the same person posting under different names and again on the "plastic taste / smell," etc.. In Crank. One in each group. R Rbut anyway, this cauldron is perfect. Boil water fast, good looks, easy to pour and son, and of course I delete it from time to time with soda and vinegar to keep it shiny. We live in a place where the water has a lot of minerals, so it 's no big deal to me. I 'ma very organized person and it looks nice on my counter.

This is a great way for hot water fast. The only problem we have is that we are on well water and must be cleaned with vinegar occasionally. Beyond that is the fastest I've used. Also the automatic shutdown is great too. RLove this topic.

I was motivated to get an electric kettle after using one at a friend 's house. My traditional stovetop kettle is very heavy and awkward to pour from Oddly - Pouring into the Bain marie I needed to change almost the kettle upside down. Following Cook 's Illustrated recommendations I've got this and absolutely love it! R rHave got it about a month. The smell is not bad as described in other reviews. It is quick to boil water, turn off the boil, it's easy for me to move from the bottom to the back and pour. Kettle and lid handle both cool enough to touch. The lid remains in an upright position, making very easy to pour and not complicated. R rPlus, very fun to watch the water boil!

I bought this kettle spontaneously in a store without first looking over the Amazon. That 's unusual for me because I usually check reviews on Amazon before buying. When I checked Amazon and got it home I was a little dismayed to read the comments that mentioned a broken handle and a "Foul chemical odor ". I 've had it about 6 weeks and now I have to say I love it and I don ' t recognize my kettle in the very negative reviews. R RHER 's why I like it: boil water fast, it looks good on my side and complements my Teapot and stainless steel French press, I like that it ' is not made of glass and plastic; Ergonomics are great - I like the convenience of a wireless device and its nice when you feel I just play the kettle down on the base - like it 's slightly softened, it ' s easy to use. R RTO address some of the other users 'concerns: Mine doesn ' t smell anything and neither Boil the water, the handle is attached with screws and seems Sturdy (I 've tried to pull him out just in case - I think it may have been a failure with an older version of this kettle - do not know), the inside of the lid is plastic - IF YOU WANT TO AVOID 100% plastic, this is not the kettle for you. If it 's in the case may be necessary to boil water in a stainless steel stove top can or a kettle. r rAnyone know 100% plastic-free electric kettle? There ' s definitely a demand out there for one. I I feel like the product manufacturer is missing a selling point for having a plastic cap line. It doesn 't bother me particularly, but without the plastic would have been a nice bonus.

I was so happy with this kettle, it looks good, the handle is great, I like how it has windscreen cover, so you can remove it and set it gently on the go. But there is that chemical smell, I thought it would go away after a few uses, but now I 've been using it every day for 2 or 3 weeks, and the smell is still there, I feel like I ' m drinking some emissions plastic .... R RtheR is a plastic gasket at the bottom, between the metal and glass, and the inner cover is plastic. Be aware of this. I bought the kettle glass as I thought it would be all glass .... Can 't really recommend this ...

Capresso 259.03 H2O Plus Glass Water Kettle, Polished Chrome This electric kettle is perfect! Visually stunning, AND it works exactly as promised. I 've used my first one for nearly a year, at home, and have now purchased a second one for the office. Easy to keep clean and attractive. We use it for both tea and the French press. Can not think of one single negative to report. I read quite a few Amazon reviews before purchasing, but could not substantiate any of the negative mentioned by a few people. The only caveat is to WATCH for the sale price!

I love my Capresso Kettle. For years he had been buying many tea pots for cooking and have been dissatisfield. This is as fast, easy to clean and very convenient. On the very reasonable price considering the price of tea stove and the amount of them that I bought in the past. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a kettle for tea and 2 family members have purchased one after seeing mine.

Beautiful to watch and fast, and I mean fast. The qualification of the top with PBS America 's Test Kitchen people say that rbest electric kettle should be easy to fill, for, and clean. This makes all these things. Problem I have with pots of water that had gone dry because I can not see the water inside and took so long to get the water boiling. And they were difficult to clean. This is easy to clean, and a glass jar I know that when I wash the cleaning. It has a modern zen look that makes it appealing to have to fight all the time. We also have used it as a way to keep moisture in the air in winter.

I have a Capresso for more than 2 years and Decided to go back and buy a Le Creuset tea kettle instead. R rPros: r-Nice aesthetic design r-quickly and automatically heat water to stop r rcon r-After several uses, I found a small particle / residue floating on the water after boiling water. I'm not sure if it is my local water sources or if the particles come from the O-ring that surrounds the metal dome heating. It seems that even the water from the kettle! R-I also found that from time to time, the residual heat accumulated in the dome after a few uses (eventually after each use), so need a lot of scrubbing to clean it every time.

We love this pot so much we 've had two of them as gifts, one for new students, the other for the mother-in-law. Boiling water with a very fast and fun to watch. We 've had no problems mentioned in other reviews.

I bought this product to Crate and Barrel and I must say I liked ... while it worked for the first 6 months. Never immersed in water, took excellent care of it. No damage whatsoever. Now it's just hot water. It turns off automatically if it gets too hot. It will not be another purchase. I 'm going to buy a glass teapot to boil water on the range.

By reading this comment on this article (and other kettles) I was really worried about odor issues that so many people have mentioned. But this pot also received comments from other top sources so I was torn. I finally decided to give it a try. We had no problem with what so ever. What happened, we boil a pot of water and dumped as suggested. And used it every day since. The water warms quickly and the handle stays cool. Some have mentioned that this pot was noisy. I think I like the little noise that I can leave the room but I can tell how far along the process is making the noise. And this isn 't like it the sound is all that intrusive. It is easy to use and very stylish as well. A great product
