Description
The Ibis is the miniature size of the water to a boil. The modern Scandinavian design makes it an attractive office companion to boil water to make tea or coffee. And with its reasonable price, this water heater travels well in college to make instant noodles in a bedroom. Made of plastic coated with a heavyweight polypropelene copper, nickel-silver heating element, Ibis Mini has a maximum of 27 ounces of water (about 5 cups). Must be filled to a minimum of 7 fluid ounces - just enough to cover the heating element - to operate. Plugging the drive and flip the switch below the kettle becomes of power. The heating process is quick and quiet: it takes only 4 minutes to boil 27 oz of water and the sound is almost imperceptible. For security reasons, the Ibis automatically shuts off after boiling and has a locking lid to prevent spills and manage an ice cream for a secure grip.
Reviews
This was great while it lasted. It just didn 't last very long. I had it about 2 or 3 months when it stopped heating. Not a very good record. I think "Star One " is too much for 3 days of work.
We bought this to use in our room because it was small and thin and attractive. We hoped to take our base as a major does. He is fully connected to the cord, making it hard to catch and throw in a small space. If we had realized that he did not completely turn off the base, would not have bought it.
I opened this kettle and the button does not work. Bodum I cried, and she told me to return it. So shitty product and customer service is not if there is a problem.
I add this review to the concerns of longevity, which I read about the other in some of the reviews address. I bought this kettle in August 2003 and I have used it * * at least once a day since then for my daily updates of tea. I must say, $ 30 for a small plastic electric kettle, I could have expected this kind of performance ever. But later, almost 6 years, it 's ride on every day, and it' s now used to be even 3-4 times per day, with my roommate. Another reviewer is correct, there are some rust spots on the radiator, but I think that is to be expected on any metal heating element. Moreover, nothing that could not be removed with some kind of scaling agent, I would. Expected As the name indicates the product, it is * * Mini Kettle - I find that the "Max 'level marker corresponds to about 3 cups of coffee or tea. So probably not the boiler of choice for a large family or household use. But works perfectly for an office, college dorm room or any other such scenario, this is an amazing fit. Functionality - turns every time cooks very fast, reliable and endlessly. Buy Fantastic! Child's play.
I have nothing but praise for this small powerful electric kettle. Boil water super fast and has a very small footprint. Have had no problem with him in 6 months +. R (Note): I use this about 2-3 times per week.
The Bodum Hot Pot is a favorite school, but now 'I decided to get one for the family at home also. Heats the water so fast - we can do more than one cup in the microwave for tea! Won 'to boil dry. RVery happy with the compact electric water "pot ".
Boils water quickly, but because of where the electrical contact is on the base (not centered like others), it often doesn 't make contact when the kettle is placed on top, and must be jiggled into place. If you don 't get it right you come back 5 minutes later to find that it never started heating ...
My husband bought me one of those two years ago for Christmas. I was ecstatic, because I love tea and was sick of boiling water in the microwave for her. The kettle worked great - for about 10 months. Then one morning, without warning, the kettle of water gushes from the bottom when I filled. R RWE returned the Bodum kettle for a replacement, as it was still under warranty. The boiler replacement would not be attached to the heater. We returned and got a second replacement. It worked well - for about 10 months, when the automatic switching device failed. We had to start watching something like a hawk to remove the element when it reaches a boil (you can 't close off manually because there ' t work). But this morning, it didn 't run at all. R rthe kettle is still under warranty, so we can return it for another, but we 're giving up and trying a different brand.
Each product has made this claim is true - the water boiling for tea at a time it would take several minutes for the same amount of water on the stove heat! And I found out that you can hard-boiled eggs in it as well as the smooth, hard-boiled eggs I've ever had!
This tea is a good article and very pleasant to carry, but the non-removable base is a little annoying. But it is very fast compared to version bigger and better way than boiling on a stove.
I got this boil water in the office. C 'is reliable and simple! NOT for soup - water. But turn off automatically when water boils. Attractive, too.
I bought my summer of 1997 and I've just thrown out last week. It cost me about $ 20 and saw a new daily service. E 'was still working when I started, but the electrical connection has been found defective and laugh ' t turn off automatically anymore. It could not be left behind when not in use, what remains on the boil and dry, has become a fire hazard. R rWhile was on duty I have never had a bad thing to say about it - it boiled quickly, the plastic body only got warm to the touch - it is never too hot. And - I think this is important - he paid well. It 'been stated, didn ' t spray gold overpour, didn 't dribble. So, for $ 2 per year, I think it was a terrific value and I give 5 stars. R ri 'm giving serious consideration to buy a kettle Bodum replacement, but since it ' re redo the whole kitchen, I 'll probably go with something more sculptural and steel - and I hope only takes place as well as my trusty Bodum!
I use the mini ibus daily to heat water for my French press. It 's fast, the right size, and handsome. Great product.
In other words, I can 't understand why the two "Spotlight " a negative review. My kettle has been used several times a day for years now, and just out conker. Boiling water very quickly because the heating coil is in direct contact with water, boil the right amount and close automatically, which saves time and electricity, and the snap sound when closed off is far better than what the traditional boiling kettle screech. The only visible connection with the criticism: after living in England where there are many choices and kettles both shapelier and more colorful, I found a bit boring for Bodum views. But it works: for a full five stars.
I bought this water heater on the basis of its description. I am pleased that it works exactly as described. The Ibis kettle boils water as fast as you said, the water is too hot to make a good cup of tea or hot chocolate, and I think that is well designed. Ibis brand I would recommend this to anyone thinking of buying a cordless kettle.
i 've had one of these since 03/03, and the little thing keeps just fine - I haven ' t even problems with calcium deposits after such a long time when I thought I could do with the hard water 'round this parts. Anyway, my bodum ibis heating is fun away ... if they are not in the foreseeable future, i 'll be very, very sad when I ' ve got the orange model. but i 'll it with another just like it only in black!
I have a mini & Kettles full size, I use a mini size @ work & a full size @ home (all high power). R rThey lasted long, long time as long as you use it properly (the contents to cover the coil is especially important). R Rone thing to note, I try to use warm or hot water when boiling to speed up the heating process (but not slow to start with the boiler). Also, bottled / filtered water results in less mineral deposits on the coil & more prolong life.
This still works, but I have to weigh the handle down with a can opener or serious thing in the art, it was beautiful, great for the 1st Year, then the weighing began. My husband Português won 't I want to buy a new one until it dies completely, but I would not get a new one. My mother has the same electric kettle for 10 years. Still working (she lives in the UK, though, where everyone has one). Rfor 20 bucks, it's nice (I paid much more for them) so, for $ 10 a year, you are OK. better than an oven if you want a cup of tea.
This is a great job kettle, if you 're ready to buy a new once a year. We had three now, two of them were replaced within the warranty period. The third is, unfortunately, died shortly after the warranty period. It is always the same failure mode. The contacts are becoming burned out. We have the first about three years ago. We stopped to buy it because of the large capacity, but now we have 'll look for another. We 're using it at least twice a day.
This is a great product - very basic, but does the job (boiling water) qite efficiently. It 's also easy to store in a cupboard. I like the european design. Make sure you order the correct size, water kettle Because this comes in two sizes. Water boiler FAST!
I love this pot It fits easily in a suitcase to boil the water with me always. Great for a quick instant coffee, tea, soup, noodles. I usually buy a new one every year, because I depend so heavily on it. I love the colors, my next will be purchased on Amazon!
This was a great addition to my kitchen gadgets, that is, after about 6 months of daily use, the base collapsed. The problem wasn 't that just melted the base (where the meet the kettle), but because of the collapse that t ' did trigger the automatic shutdown. (I had gone to check it because it seemed, suddenly, he was taking much longer for the kettle to click outside R). I hated having to stop using it because it was fast and quiet when he was working. The heating element exposed at the bottom of the pot, I never thought that was a problem.
I can fill this little pot of tea in less than five minutes have enough hot water to make four cups of tea. N guess the temperature is often the case with the water heating in the microwave. And automatic shutdown to save its size for the office.
Had for three years, but haven 't use it much. The time I used it, he has worked very well. R rDislikes: do not know if it is boiling water. There are no indicators. The only way is to hear the click switch from the off. R als, there are min and max lines for the amount of water required for use. However, it is difficult to see that I use to highlight Sharpee outside. It would be nice if the cup indicator signs or other signs to tell you how much water you are boiling.
I have read other reviews (and that's before I bought mine), but I also have a friend who has had this and never had trouble. The mine has been operating successfully for 7 months without a hitch. I use it every day, have a complete tea and caffeine addicts dogs. Full kettle of water heated at about 3 or 4 minutes and the kettle itself is simple and tasteful enough to bring out of the kitchen to refill the cup with hot water for guests. Compared with many of those short, plump little round kettle that don 't follow the people ' s decor. R rPerhaps a bad batch of this and I 'm the only one of the lucky ones? Who knows, but I'd buy it again in a minute.
